Sunday Morning Prayer
Sunday mornings, 9:30-9:50 am, in the double-door storage room to the far left of the stage. Everyone is invited to come and pray for the Sunday meeting.

Starting Point Class
It is not too late to join this class which began last Sunday at 8:30-9:45 am, Room 111, Lower Level. This 10-week membership series taught by the pastors covers the basics of the Christian life and how they are applied at CrossWay. Free light breakfast and child care are provided. If you are interested, please call the church office and show up next Sunday.
“Becoming God’s True Woman” Book Study
“Becoming God’s True Woman”- a course for women-Tuesdays in February, 7:30-9:30 pm. First class is Tuesday, February 7. Please read chapter 3, Daddy’s Girl: Knowing God as Father, and discussion questions on pages 186-87. Bring the book and a Bible. Each meeting is for all women, age 16 and up, single or married, moms or not. Book is available at CrossWay’s Bookstore. Register today at www.crosswaync.org.
Financial Peace University
Financial Peace University (FPU) begins this Tuesday, February 7. It will be held on Tuesday evenings from 7:00-9:00 pm. This life-changing program teaches you how to achieve your financial goals by eliminating debt, saving for the future, and giving like never before. You will be challenged and motivated to make a plan for your money and change your family tree forever.
FPU consists of a 13-week video curriculum-taught by financial expert Dave Ramsey-that incorporates small-group discussions to encourage accountability and discipleship. FPU is highly entertaining for everyone, with a unique combination of humor, informative financial advice and biblical messages. Many families have already had their lives changed by attending FPU. Family Meeting
Wednesday, February 8, 7:00-8:30 pm, there will be a Family Meeting for all church members. Please make this meeting a priority. Childcare will be provided.
Jackson Park Ministries Food Collection
Wednesday, February 8, at the Family Meeting, we will collect non-perishable food items for Jackson Park Ministries food pantry. The food will be used for their transitional housing and urban ministry. Bring any items you would like to donate to the designated table in the Lobby before and after the meeting.
Truth & Mercy Ministry Collection Items
Wednesday, February 8, at the Family Meeting, we will collect baby items (new and gently used) for Truth & Mercy Ministry (Sheryl Chandler) which “showers” needy mothers who decide against aborting their babies. They also share the love and gospel of Jesus Christ. There is a particular need for infant car seats and strollers, solid colored crib sheets, clothing in the 0-24 month ranges, medical kits (with thermometer, nasal aspirator, nail clippers, etc.), baby wash, lotion, and powder. Financial gifts are also welcome. Checks can be made out to Truth & Mercy Pro-Life Ministry, however, contributions are not tax deductible.
Communion
Next Sunday, we will have the privilege of sharing together in the Lord’s Supper. This week, please take some time to read 1 Corinthians 11:17-34 and prepare your heart to partake.
Home School Moms’ Encouragement Night
Thursday, February 16, 6:30 pm, please come for dinner and an evening of prayer and encouragement for all home school moms. If you plan to attend, please RSVP to Kim Jamison at the table in the Lobby or at kajamison@gmail.com.
Oaks Mercy Ministry
Saturday, February 18, 10:30-11:30 am, at the Oaks Nursing Center in Huntersville for worship and prayer. All are welcome to participate, including children accompanied by a parent. Any questions, please contact Steve or Kim Baumgartner.
Men’s Meeting
Sunday, February 26, 6:00-9:00 pm, Special Events Room, for all men 18 years and up. Nick Swan will be speaking on humility. Please make this meeting a priority.
Home School Through High School Seminar
Have questions about home schooling through high school? Saturday, March 3, from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm, Nita Jakubisin will present a seminar for anyone interested in finding out more about home schooling during the high school years. Topics include our motivation for continuing to home school, practical information to get started, recordkeeping, and various options for course work. Sign up will begin next Sunday, February 12, at the Registration Center. The fee for this course is $10 to cover the cost of the notebook.
Summerville Outreach
Friday, March 30-Saturday, March 31, we will be traveling to Summerville, SC, to help Sovereign Grace Church of the Lowcountry participate in the Flowertown Festival. A maximum of 25 people are needed to help with this event. There will be a $25 fee which will help to cover supplies and the expense of hosting the team. If you are interested in participating, please sign up at the Registration Center.
