Sunday Morning Prayer
Sunday mornings, 9:30-9:50 am, in the doubled-door room to the left of the stage. Everyone is invited to come and pray for the Sunday meeting.
Evangelism Prayer
Sunday mornings, 9-9:30 am, at the church office conference room (enter through the back patio door). Join us as we pray for the lost, the Alpha course, our One Life person, outreach events and more.
Sunday Receptions
Everyone is invited to a refreshment reception by the church office after each Sunday meeting this summer. Additionally, the first Sunday of each month, there will be donuts to enjoy. Children are invited, so please pick up your children first and then join the reception. Note: Guest Receptions are discontinued – Guest Luncheons will continue as scheduled. New folks are invited to visit the Lobby Welcome Center during receptions and someone will be there to answer questions and give out church information. Enjoy church community life this summer!
Family Meeting Message
If you are a member and were unable to attend the family meeting on Friday night, please make sure to listen to it in the near future. We have a limited number of free CDs that are available at the Media Center or you can access it on the church database. To do so, log in and select the groups tab at the top of the page. Select the “entire church” group from the list and then select the files tab. The Family Meeting message will be in the list.
Guest Luncheon
Today at 12:15 pm, in the Special Events Room, there will be a free guest luncheon for anyone who has been visiting CrossWay recently. You will be hosted by the pastors and their wives, plus there will be Q&A at the end. Childcare is provided.
Mission 28 Parents’ Meeting
Wednesday, July 30, 7:00 pm, in the Special Events Room, there will be a meeting for all parents with sons or daughters in the college ministry, Mission 28. All Mission 28 parents are welcome, however, parents new to Mission 28 are especially encouraged to come! Any questions, please contact Joe Lechner.
August "Sabbatical" Month
Most meetings in August are cancelled, besides Sunday celebration meetings, in order to give more time for rest, spiritual study, hospitality and reaching out to those who don't know Jesus Christ. Please consider how the Lord would have you use this free time and enjoy the rest of the "Summer of Love" to the glory of God!
Melissa Ruszczyk Baby Shower
Saturday, August 2, from 10 am-12 noon, in the Lobby, there will be a shower to celebrate the upcoming birth of Dave and Melissa’s baby girl. Melissa is registered at Target and Babies R Us. Please RSVP to Robin Miracle if you plan to attend.
Holocaust Survivor Talk
Wednesday, August 6, 7:00 pm, in the Special Events Room, the Home School Ministry is sponsoring Bernie Rosner (Andy Rosner’s father) sharing his childhood experience living through the Jewish holocaust in a concentration camp in Germany during World War II. His story is inspiring and will be especially suited for teenagers. Q&A will follow his talk. All young people 12 and up, as well as their parents and anyone else interested are invited. CCEF Conference
This year’s Christian Counseling & Educational Foundation (CCEF) 2008 Conference takes place November 14-16 at the Valley Forge Convention Center in Pennsylvania. The theme will be “The Addict In Us All” and is for all who struggle with addiction and those who want to help them. There will also be specialized seminars for pastors, ministry leaders and counseling professionals. Register by September 15 to take advantage of the Early Bird Rate. P/T Church Secretary/Receptionist Needed
CrossWay would like to hire a church member for a part-time secretary/receptionist position starting the end of July or early August. Candidates should be familiar with Microsoft Office, able to represent the church well to anyone visiting the office, and be willing to serve the church and staff in a variety of ways. P/T Church Office Help Needed
If you are a CrossWay member and are interested in part-time employment, the church office would like to hire someone to help with web and graphics-related tasks. Candidates should be computer savvy and familiar with using Word. Mac experience a plus. If interested or for more information, please contact David Moore at the church office.
